Equipping People to be Passionate Servants of Jesus Christ

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a ministry dedicated to providing meals for those in the church that are going through a tough situation. That might be an injury, accident, death in the family, surgery, but it can also include the happy event of the birth of a child. When an event happens, the area coordinator has a list of dates that the person making the meal chooses from that fits in with their schedule. The coordinator has ready for the meal preparer the times, dates, phone numbers, directions, number of family members, allergies, etc., so they can more easily prepare the meal and have all information in hand to deliver a good, well welcomed meal. The Helping Hands cooks serve an average of once a month to once every two months. If you are interested, please sign up in the foyer at church for your area or call Cori Fulks at the church. It is a wonderful ministry!

Missions

We take Christ's command in Mark 16:15 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."  very seriously. However we understand that "all the world" includes, in fact begins right here in our own town, not just the far reaches of exotic third world countries. Our mission projects start in our own children's ministries and extend as far out as our orphange in Sri Lanka. Here are some of the missions and missionaries we provide or support:

Rancho Maranatha - is ministry in Alamos Mexico reaching out to the communities surrounding it through an orphanage, service projects and Bible studies. Brian and Rochelle Ray are our missionaries and are a tremendous blessing to the entire area.

Welcome Home Foundation - is an orphanage for boys in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Our support provides a home, a loving environment, education, food and clothing to boys in this war torn country.

New Hope Missions - is a ministry in Haiti that provides education and meals to hundreds of children each day. New Hope also builds and pastors churches in many small communities in Northern Haiti.

Saving Grace World Missions - is a ministry in the U.N. refugee camp in Kiryandango, Uganda. We have been involved here for many years providing such things as medical care, pastoral training and a nutritional center. This ministry currently runs a school for 300 Sudanese refugees.

The Freedom Center is an outreach to the Kurdish people in Kurdistan of Iraq. The center is the dream of our friend Heather Mercer and is under construction now. We hope to send not only resources to this fantastic ministry but also missionaries to reach out to these historically oppressed people.
